The Science Olympiad tournaments are rigorous academic interscholastic competitions that consist of a series of individual and team events which students prepare for during the year. The competitions follow the format of popular board games, TV shows and athletic games.

The second Science Olympiad Coaches Meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Mira Loma High School in room F-3 at 4:00 PM. Please park in the East Faculty/Visitor parking lot. A Mira Loma campus map is located in the links section of this website.

Please note that this is a DRAFT schedule and is subject to change due to CSUS restrictions, room availability, conflicts or EC requests. Registration for events that are "hi-lighted" will take place on-line in January. The exact dates for registering will be given at the first coaches meeting on January 22, 2014.

Please note: The Churchill Invitational is not sponsored by nor affiliated with the Sacramento Regional Science Olympiad. In addition, if your school participates in any invitational competition, you must be a paid, registered team with your regional Science Olympiad event.
The 2014 Sacramento Regional Science Olympiad will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at CSUS. Upon receipt of the registration form and payment, a 2014 rules book will be sent and you will be assigned a team number.

Palo Alto High School (Santa Clara County) and Churchill Middle School (Sacramento County) took fi rst place in their divisions at the Northern California Science Olympiad State Finals held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Mission Oak High School in Tulare. Twenty-four high school teams and 24 middle school teams competed in this year’s event, which was hosted by the Tulare County Offi ce of Education in coordination with the California Science League. Both schools will represent Northern California as they advance to the National Science Olympiad competition, slated for May 17-18, 2013 at Wright State University, in Dayton, Ohio.

The NorCal State Science Olympiad will be held on April 13, 2013 in Tulare, CA. Churchill-A, Rolling Hills-A, Barrett and Butte Vista-B will compete in the NorCal B Division competition. Mira Loma-A, Sheldon, Pleasant Grove-A and Bella Vista-A will compete in the NorCal C Division competition.
